As CPOs in the frontline working in England and Wales we have a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence.
As part of the licence, we have a First Aid At Work qualification, and a Criminal Records Bureau check.
Skills and knowledge covered by the SIA licence include:
- introduction to the roles and responsibilities of close protection
- threat and risk assessment
- close protection teamwork
- close protection foot techniques
- use of close protection vehicle techniques
- communication and conflict management skills
